About Us

Dun Laoghaire Methodist Church has a congregation of about 100 at a typical Sunday Morning Service.

There is a broad range of ages in the congregation resulting in a family atmosphere with good numbers of children and young people. There is a creche available for the duration of the Service, while shortly into the Service, children of primary school age leave for Sunday School and those of secondary school age leave for their discussion groups.

The Morning Service is along traditional Methodist format, with Hymns, Readings, Prayers and a Sermon.  There is normally a monthly celebration of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of the month where we invite all who love the Lord to partake in Holy Communion.

We occasionally have Sunday Evening Healing Services which are more mediative and prayerful and are shared with a neighbouring church.

There are many Local Preachers (lay persons) to assist in leading these and other services as well as special speakers on occasion.

During the week our church hall is used by Enable Ireland to provide their services in the Dun Laoghaire area.
