History

 

This little history of Methodism in Dun Laoghaire is a series of highlights in the collective life of the church, produced for the 150th anniversary in 1986 by Mr Harry Forsyth. Harry was a local preacher for 60 years and he passed away in 2004 having reached his 100th Birthday.
 
 
1836 The opening of the first church on the present site.
 
 
1904 The completion of the present building.
 
1957 The opening of a major extension.

Services during Lockdown

During the restrictions to combat the cover-19 virus, all church services were cancelled.
From Sunday 5th July a limited number will have the opportunity to meet again in our church, although with special procedures to keep everybody safe and maintain social distancing. These services will be streamed live at the normal service time of 11.00am. The link to this streaming service will be shown on our service page dlmc.org/service. The service will continue to be available after the live streaming for the following week.
A monthly circuit communion service will also be live on Facebook.
